What is the School Community?
DW provides an intimate learning environment; 25 teachers and administrators support 240 students in K - 5. Our student body is very culturally diverse, and great attention is paid to embracing our multiculturalism.
What are the transportation options?
Three SFUSD bus lines bring students to DW. In addition, the MUNI 10, 19, and 22 bus lines stop within 2 to 4 blocks of DW.
What are the before and after school childcare options?
Before school: Breakfast for eligible students is served in the cafeteria starting at 8:10 AM. Playground supervision begins at 8:25 AM. School starts with morning circle on the playground at 8:40 AM.
After school: DW's Child Development Center is available for all students on a sliding scale from 2:40 to 6:00 pm.
Is there a Uniform Policy?
Yes. DW uniform is navy blue pants, skirts or dresses, white or navy blue shirts, and navy blue sweaters.
How is the library?
Our library has an outstanding collection hand selected by SFUSD's head librarian and includes a large selection of Spanish Language books.
Are there Extracurricular and Enrichment Programs?
Yes, DW has many programs to support the whole child. Students have P.E., computer classes, art and music every week. Playworks is a part of the school day as well as the after school program.
What is School Loop?
School Loop is a web-based communication system developed by SFUSD. With the implementation of School Loop, we hope to provide more flexibility in how you get school news and announcements.

- Get your child’s HO Number from our school secretary @ 415-695-5787. If you kept your SFUSD placement letter, the HO# is listed next to your child’s name.

- Select Register Now and follow the instructions. For Student ID Number, enter your child’s HO#.
Can I talk to a current parent at Daniel Webster?
Yes, let us match you with a current family so you have a personal contact at our school. Feel free to contact your buddy with all your questions. If you'd like a buddy, please contact Jennifer Betti, PTA Outreach Coordinator.
When can I take a tour of Daniel Webster?
Please phone the school office to sign up at 415-695-5787.
- 8:40am: Morning circle time on the playground. Come see how we start the day as a school community!
- 8:50am-9:00am: Purchase coffee ($$ raised will help DW kids attend an outdoor education camp)
- 9:00am-10:00am: School tour begins. Meet outside the schools main office.
Tours are lead by current DW parent volunteers. You will have the opportunity to tour the grounds, visit classrooms for both the Spanish Immersion and General Education (English) programs and hear about all of the wonderful programs at Daniel Webster Elementary School.
